About Drukpa FC
The story of the Thunder Dragon — from humble beginnings to the pride of Bhutanese football.
From Namlha to Drukpa
Drukpa FC was born in 2026 from the transformation of Namlha FC, a club with deep roots in Bhutanese football. The rebrand was more than a cosmetic change — it was a statement of ambition, identity, and pride.
The name “Drukpa” draws from the Thunder Dragon, the national symbol of Bhutan. It represents the ferocity, courage, and spirit that define the club's character both on and off the pitch.
Our new crest — a dragon biting a football, enclosed in a crowned circular badge — captures the essence of who we are: a club that plays with fire, fights with honor, and represents the heart of Bhutan.
As we compete in the 2026 Bhutan Premier League, Drukpa FC carries the dreams of thousands of supporters who believe in the power of Bhutanese football to inspire and unite.
